                   Tomatoes

Heirloom tomato
The Pocket Farmer:  I have to admit tomatoes are probably my favorite garden plant.  I love them!  I can more tomato products than anything else.  I grow tons of cherry tomatoes which I love to eat straight out of the garden or in a salad by themselves.  I also grow a variety of other larger tomatoes, for sauces, canning, etc.
Patricia Wood Emery: yellow pear! They are so sweet and yummy... and my dad grows them so the remind me of him, too!  :)
Raye Anne Thore: for flavor, Brandywine
Sheila Lee: I love the amish paste tomatoes! Very "meaty," perfect for use in sauces or eating fresh. :)
Patty Kasiewicz: Rutger, very productive, fairly disease resistant, good eating and canning tomato.
David Sapp: I am not prejudice toward any tomato variety! Call me greedy but I like em all. :)
Stephanie Stettler-Moss: Mr Stripey, love the flavor.
Autumn Couturier: I like "Early Girl" because we have such a short growing season in Atlantic Canada!
Richard Pratt: Why not cherry tomatoes? Because they'd win, hands down? lol!
Sherri Burkett: Oh, I've been trying to grow those yellow pears for years and they always come out round. very sweet though. I think they cross with something. Totally agree that brandywine is the best I've ever eaten. I've grown all the colors of brandywine and they are all delicious, but pink is the best, I think. Big rainbow and pinapple are the most beautiful, whole and especially sliced. Very impressive in all kinds of dishes, salads, etc. Rainbows are striped and pineapples are red with yellow spots. Yum. My mouth is watering. Making me very excited for seed starting tomorrow!
Nan Bixby: Love Rutgers
Heather Porteous: I'm growing russian purple plums, banana legs and green zebra toms this year havent got a fav ...may be this year I'll find one.
Blondeponders Garden and Duck tales: Had my first Black Krim yum! hubs loves the yellow pear I grow in a pot near the house so he can grab a few when he walks by. The grape toms are really better snackers in my opinion.
Toni K Jeter-Stanton: I agree with David, I love them all! Have not had any luck with Mr Stripey though!
Laura Holloway Walker: definitely heirlooms
Laura Adams: Beefsteaks  tomatoes. They are juicy and delicious, plus big! I miss it. I used to grow cherry tomatoes, but I don't like them too much.
Theresa Hillis Wittenberg: So many tomatoes, so little time...
Mountain View Bed & Breakfast: I love "Golden Sunrise" large yellow tomatoes, so sweet & colourful in salads
Sheila Lee: If you're looking for salad tomatoes, after last year my favorite is the Chocolate Cherry. :)
Veronica Swain: My favorite right now is Cherokee Purple! Delicious!
MarkClaire Eborn: Cherokee purple!  Incredible flavor!
Elizabeth McConnel Sutton: Old Germans. Even the Brandywines can't compare as far as flavor. We were blown away by them.
Kay Harnden: Cherokee Purple. Not very productive but the fruit is so tasty!
Attainable Sustainable: Green Zebra for eating out of hand. They're tangy and lovely and look great in a tomato salad. I had good luck with Goliath for sheer quantity and good flavor for canning.
SimplerTimes Homestead: Midnight Stars .... they were such a unique color and flavor.
