I'd never been to a farm auction before and he quickly assured me this was no regular auction, it was HUGE! Acres and acres of implements, wagons, buggies, tractors, tires, tanks...it was endless! It was also HOT, about 108 degrees. Farmer Tom stayed busy working the auction all day and he successfully bid on several items, including the little white cart, which he wanted to give me for my birthday. Two auctioneers going full speed all day couldn't finish the job and eventually the event was called around 5:00 pm that evening. It was an exhausting but fun event.
Once we got the cart home and started tinkering with it, the project took off. We hadn't planned on a full restoration, maybe just some new seats, but it was hard to stop once we got going. We've been plugging away at it steadily for a couple months and we finally got the last few parts for it this week. I put together some before and after photos to show you how this project progressed. She's come a loooooong way, baby!
