1. Make sure healthy snacks are readily available at all times.
2. Plan meals ahead of time, so that there is no mad scramble when hunger strikes.
3. Control portions.
4. Indulge a little, not a lot.
5. Get the carbs out!
6. Start each day with a Magic Berry Cube
This week marks 6 months that I've been testing, tweaking, experimenting with a low-carb life. This isn't a commercially packaged and sold Diet Plan. It's just me, finding what works and sharing what I've learned. The holidays were definitely a challenge, nostalgia being my greatest foe, but I'm committed to this "new" way of living. It fits my outlook and sensibilities more than anything else I have ever done, food-wise. I've felt great, stayed healthy and even the post-holiday blip on the scale won't damper my enthusiasm for the process.
So, Happy New Year! Happy New Me! And, if you are with me, Happy New You! It's time to get back on the wagon and leave temptation behind. Crap is out, Healthy is in. Carbs are bye-bye. Lets do this!
